•What
happens in Act I (Setup)?
The Exposition in the three act structure and the state of equilibrium at the outset in Torodev's theory of Narrative:
This is when the good witch rescues The Ork from becoming evil and where the player becomes The Ork. The rescue takes place within a war between good and evil. Orks are always bad but the witch changes the outcome of the evil being put into the Ork by rescuing him whilst the factory is being destroyed. This sets the story in motion
The Main character in the three act structure and a disruption of the equilibrium by some action in Torodev's theory of Narrative:
You are the main character and The Ork. The objective is to figure out who you are (either good or evil) and whether you are a stereotypical Ork.
•Dramatic premise--
An Ork who is being raised in a war of good and evil but has the chance to question the structure of this world and change it for better or worse.
The Dramatic situation in the three act structure and a recognition that there has been a disruption in Torodev's theory of Narrative:
The
circumstances surrounding the action. To travel to the war to find out what is happening and making choices that might be good for you but not for others. This may cause death or freedom.
An Inciting Incident in the three act structure and an attempt to repair the disruption in Torodev's theory of Narrative:
You decide you have had enough of wondering what's going on and travel to the war.
•Plot Point 1 - Occurs when the evil doesn't get put in you and changes your direction in life.
•What happens in Act II
(Confrontation)?
•Obstacles--In
the second act, the main character encounters obstacle after obstacle that
prevent him from achieving his dramatic need. You being an Ork is one of the main obstacles because people judge you and look at you differently. This leads to them leading you the wrong way.
•First Culmination--Interruption of the path to arrive at the war but not to stop you getting there. This happens throughout the middle section and a little towards the end with misdirections and conflicts.
•Midpoint--There is not one major event, there are a few conflicts which are low points for you.
•Plot Point 2
act 3
•What
happens in Act III (Resolution)?
•Climax (Second Culmination)--
You finally get to commander Zen and the evil comes to fight and you have to make a decision to either save a person you love and trust by joining the bad side or letting her die because she tells you to become good.
•Denouement--
If you save your mother you have become evil, if you don't save your mother and become good you have saved many others from evil.
The end - return of the equilibrium when everyone is happy
